Alexandre ZAMITH

 

Professor / Researcher in the areas of musical performance (piano and chamber music) and Music Research Methodology  and Coordinator of the Graduate Program at the Arts Institute of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He is PhD in Music from the same institution.

As a performer, he highlights the musical repertoire of the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as contemporary improvisation practices, both instrumental and combined with electronic and digital resources.

His research and artistic practices have led him to several artistic works, with which he has performed in several artistic and scientific meetings, with emphasis on Performa (Lisbon / Portugal), the Composition in 21st Century Conference (Dublin / Ireland), the Sonorities Festival of Contemporary Music (Belfast / Northern Ireland), 10th São Paulo International Electroacoustic Music Biennial and IRCAM Forum / Brazil.
